Continue practising in a variety of asanas to understand the usefulness and limitation of each asana for you on different occasions. Prashant Iyengar makes a distinction between one’s capacity to perform an asana and one’s condition on a particular day. For example, a student can sit in sidhasana but has a swollen, twisted ankle. This condition may not allow the student to sit in sidhasana until the injury heals. Thus, the sadhaka needs to adapt their posture to their condition.
